The two teams met in Week 1, when Daniels made his first NFL start. Both quarterbacks played well, but the Bucs led the entire way and eventually won 37-20.
It was a different story Sunday night. After a back-and-forth battle all evening, Daniels engineered a game-winning drive that ended with Zane Gonzalez doinking in a field goal as time expired. The Commanders prevailed 23-20 for their first playoff win in 19 years.
Next weekend, they will travel to Detroit to play the No. 1-seeded Lions.
