‘Arteta Out’ messages appear, vandalising Arsenal murals outside Emirates Stadium

‘Arteta Out’ messages appear, vandalising Arsenal murals outside Emirates Stadium, this week, footage going viral on social media.

It seems the some fans have been left frustrated with the club’s summer transfer activities, have defaced artwork, with footage emerging on social media.

The potential £52m signing of Noni Madueke, 23, from Chelsea has divided fans, with many directing their anger at manager Mikel Arteta, who has not won a trophy in five years despite significant squad investment.

It’s thought that Madueke has fallen out of favour with manager Enzo Maresca, who has benched him in recent games during their Club World Cup campaign in the United States.

He has only started two of Chelsea’s six games in the tournament and came off the bench twice in their last two games against Palmeiras and Fluminense.

Noni won’t play a part it seems in the final at MetLife Stadium over the weekend, Chelsea will take on Champions League winners PSG for the chance to win another trophy on top of their UEFA Conference League crown.

Madueke has reportedly been excused to fly back to the UK and complete his move to the Gunners.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their attack, particularly seeking a No. 9 and additional quality on the wings, after missing out on Nico Williams.

Ex-Arsenal player Sol Campbell said to the Metro: “I’ve seen him play, and he’s a very dynamic, keep-going kind of player that can cause problems when he gets into the final third.

“I think most people are probably thinking, ‘Do we need him?’. He’s a quality player, but I think the club needs to explain why they’re getting certain players in and how it’s going to fit into our system. It’s important to explain that to the players and the fans.”

Twitter users gave their reaction as Arsenal fans make feelings clear as ‘Arteta Out’ messages appear on murals outside the stadium…

@schickwontmiss: if you’re supporting this nonsense then you are a pathetic disgrace to our football club. this is in no way, shape or form acceptable. LEAVE OUR FOOTBALL CLUB YOU IDIOTS.

@HD__AFC: Our fanbase dont deserve him tbf. Wankers

@has4n_18: This fanbase is pathetic

@TheOfficialFNG: i just don’t understand how out of all of the things that have happened to arsenal in the last 6 years, it’s signing noni madueke that’s the final straw

@TomAFC17: I despise a large amount of this fanbase honestly. It’s no wonder we are hated. You don’t get this with frequent match going fans…

@ONE_AMN: “Straw that broke the camels back” meanwhile he’s the reason you even THINK this club should be winning the premier league or champions league. Defacing someone’s work like this is embarrassing with so long left of the window.

@TheImmortalKop: Trophyless for 5 years, 2nd three times in a row, continuing to play Partey and publicly backing him, God awful football but signing Noni Madueke is what tips them over the edge I’m crying

@Scott_AFC: We actually have the worst fan base going. Same cunts who will be cheering him first game of season 🥱

@3uHafc: 7 weeks till the window closes and if we get a shiny striker and Eze everyone will stfu. Whoever did this is such a loser

@EraOfArteta: Imagine being that much of a cunt that you ruin someone’s hard work and time over a signing

@kayakaynak97: These murals have genuinely been one of my favourite parts about going to the Emirates in recent years. To see someone deface the hard work that’s gone into them presumably bc they don’t like a player #AFC haven’t even signed yet is pathetic.

@LFCLaurie: Wasn’t this the same fanbase who criticised us for booing Trent? Said they’d never do that to “one of their own” and we were embarrassing for feeling how we did? Now they’re vandalising their murals over a player who hasn’t even kicked a ball for them yet. Insufferable bunch.

@kimmoFC: That’s absolutely sickening 🤬 Makes my blood boil. Horrible, entitled children calling themselves fans, ruining the work of a dedicated fan who’s giving so much to the community. “People have had enough ain’t they”…. Fuck off.

@R24AFC: The people who did this deserve nothing. Being a fan isn’t subjective, nor is it a part time role. Guarantee they are incel keyboard warriors and not match going fans. They’re like cancer, worse than rival fans who pretend to support Arsenal. Put them in the ground.
